Greetings from IARFC Philippines!
Financial Planning is a growing profession in many parts of the world and fast gaining grounds in the Philippines and IARFC Philippines is spearheading its growth. We are conducting a 6- day Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) Conversion Course with REP (Registered Estate Planner) which discusses thoroughly the following topics: Financial Planning Framework; Risk Management; Insurance Planning; Investment Planning; Tax Planning; Retirement Planning; Estate Planning (comprehensive); and Financial Plan Construction.
Why is there a need to take a course?
In a society that grows more complex everyday, consumers are presented with the constant pressures of family, career, and community responsibilities and personal enrichment. The financial market place is ever-changing with new laws, regulations, economic events, market changes, product offerings and conflicting media messages. Even you are expected to make more difficult personal finance decisions and on a more regular basis than ever before. Because of this, it is essential that you have the necessary skills, knowledge and habits to make the right decisions. Taking the said course would equip you to help others and yourself become “financially capable”. I am sure you would agree that a certain level of personal finance education is necessary in life. The financial advice you get should be of the same value as the one who gives it. Make certain that the one who gives you a financial advice is a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC). Why not be one yourself?
The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants Philippines (IARFC Philippines) is a non-profit credentialing organization of proven professionals formed to foster public confidence in the financial planning profession, to help financial advisors exchange planning techniques and to give deserved recognition to those practitioners who are truly committed to ethical standards and continuous professional education. Because there are no consistent licensing requirements for the various persons who call themselves “financial planners” the public has a critical need for a method of distinguishing the qualified and dedicated financial advisor.
The Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) is a professional designation awarded by the IARFC to those financial advisors who can meet the high standards of education, experience and integrity that are required of all its members. The RFC must have a minimum of four years experience as a full time practitioner in the field of financial planning. In addition, he/she must have earned a baccalaureate or graduate degree in financial services with strong emphasis on subjects relating to economics, accounting, business, statistics, finance and similar studies with knowledge about MICROSOFT OFFICE EXCEL; or have earned one of the following professional degrees or designations: ACCA, ChFC, CLU, CFP, CPA, CFA, LLB, MBA, MSFS, PhD. If the above conditions are not met, the candidate may still take the RFC Conversion Course and can be designated a Registered Financial Associate (RFA). Should the designated RFA is able to earn the 4 years experience as a full time practitioner in the field of financial planning, yearly renewing membership and complying with the required minimum of 40 units (hours) of professional continuing education year after year just like an RFC, his designation will automatically be converted to RFC.
